Atlanta Realtor Mark Spain Honored by The Wall Street Journal as One of the Top 100 Agent Teams in the U.S.

Atlanta, GA — The Wall Street Journal/Real Trends 2010 Real Estate Top 400 Professionals list was just released in August. It is based on a survey of thousands of brokerage firms, associations of Realtors® and hundreds of other sources to determine the top-performing agents in the United States, based on 2009 sales production. Atlanta-based Realtor Mark Spain and his RE/MAX Greater Atlanta real estate team were honored as the #29 team in the United States. The Mark Spain Team was #29 for most transaction sides and #29 for highest sales volume. Spain was the only Georgia-based team on the Top 100 Teams by Sales Volume list.

The ranking is broken down by teams and individual agents, with a top 100 list each for transaction sides and for sales volume. Now in its 5th year, this ranking is the only independent study of its kind where all results from individual submissions are independently verified through third party sources. Mark Spain Team's 2009 sales marked the ninth consecutive year the team has exceeded the $100 million annual sales mark. They averaged more than a closing a day with 453 closings for a gross sales volume of $105.5 million.

* Lenders call the home that is your clients' current residence their "departure residence."  And "departure residence" underwriting guidelines have become much more stringent in the last year.  Is your client planning on purchasing their new home without selling their departure residence? Do not assume that they can qualify!  They may qualify with the payment, and not have the required cash reserves.  Or may not be able to use projected rental income, even though they have a signed rental agreement. It is imperative that they get PreQualified early in the process! FHA and conventional guidelines are slightly different .. call if you need more detail.
